A step-by-step guide to getting your property ready for photos & video.


Interior Preparation


Declutter & Hide Personal Items

  • Clear and declutter countertops, tables, and shelves.

  • Hide personal items (family photos, paperwork, pet toys).

Clean & Brighten Spaces

  • Clean all surfaces, floors, mirrors, and windows.

  • Open blinds and curtains to maximize natural light.

  • Turn on all interior lights and replace any burnt-out bulbs.

Stage Neatly

  • Straighten and fluff pillows.

  • Make beds and ensure linens are wrinkle-free.

  • Hide trash bins and conceal visible cords or wires.

  • Put away dishes, laundry, and any personal bathroom items.

Maintain Landscaping

  • Mow lawn, trim bushes, remove dead plants.

Tidy the Exterior

  • Hide trash cans, garden hoses, outdoor items.

  • Sweep driveways, walkways, patios.

  • Wipe down doors, windows, furniture.

Prepare the View

  • Park vehicles away from the property or in the garage.

  • Turn on pool/spa lights if applicable.

Day of the Shoot


Prepare the Space

  • Ensure all rooms are fully photo-ready.

  • Remove or secure pets in a non-visible area.

  • During the Session

  • Be prepared to step outside to avoid reflections.

  • Minimize noise if a video session is scheduled (turn off TVs, fans, etc.).
